The Sherwin-Williams Company IT Manager I, Project Services in Cleveland, Ohio

Provide project management oversight of operational, IT and business initiatives serviced by the department Maintain accurate and timely project and resource plans, and provide consolidated status reports and documentation Identify and schedule project or program deliverables, milestones and tasks. Assist in defining scope, deliverables, success criteria and key metrics of the project in conjunction with project leadership and other key stakeholders Monitor project cost and resource usage where appropriate Coordinate and monitor project execution and progress Respond to stakeholder requests for information Recommend, develop and refine best practices, techniques and tools for project planning, execution, tracking, communication and key performance metrics with management Share lessons learned and best practices across programs, building relationships with stakeholders and brokering relationships at all levels Manage project/program administration, independently assess areas of improvement, and collect feedback for a lessons learned report Advise project leads, sponsors and teams on project management best practices Manage a team of direct reports and or contract / staff augmentation resources Assist in recruiting and selecting talent Delegate project assignments to team members as appropriate Onboard and continuously train direct reports Evaluate performance on a continuous basis, and in line with the company policies ability to manage change and effectively pass on the information down the line to concerned teams for smoother execution Delegate and allocate responsibilities efficiently to manage development and support staff. Conduct performance reviews of team members and identify areas of improvement, give feedback and recommend for promotions or salary increments. Assist team members with career planning and identify growth opportunities through work assignments Act as a reference point for company inquiries for project management methods and an advocate for best practices in project management Manage detailed activities in programs in conjunction with Program managers FORMAL EDUCATION: Required: Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in a Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Information Technology field of study (e.g., Information Technology, Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering, Computer Systems Management, Mathematics) or equivalent experience. Preferred: MBA PMP certification KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE: Required: 8+ years of IT experience. Supervisory experience (direct reports) preferred. In-depth knowledge of project management methodology, tools and techniques Significant experience with multiple project planning and monitoring tools Significant experience with process mapping and implementation Experience applying transactional lean principles and techniques 5+ years of experience in multiple fields including, but not limited to: Operations (supply chain, manufacturing, order management, engineering and procurement), finance, technical (R&D), EHS, regulatory, sales and marketing functions, and related support IT systems [AKS1] Significant experience supporting large or complex multi-functional and multi-divisional projects, including business or system integrations, acquisitions or rationalizations Preferred: Experience managing business unit programs and/or global programs TECHNICAL/SKILL REQUIREMENTS: Required: Microsoft Office products Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Excellent written and oral communication skills Strong presentation and interpersonal skills Proven ability to build and grow relationships Proven ability and initiative to learn and research new concepts, ideas, and technologies quickly Strong systems/process orientation with demonstrated analytical thinking, organization skills and
