Cleveland Clinic Inventory Coordinator in Cleveland, Ohio

As an Inventory Coordinator, you will act as a liaison between the department and Supply Chain Management to ensure that inventory levels reflect the department's needs and are managed by established policies and procedures. Your efforts can help maintain proper organization and inventory integrity within your facility.
A caregiver in this position works 5:00AM - 1:30PM.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
Manage all phases of ordering, receiving, distribution and warehousing of essential departmental equipment and supplies.
Implement, manage, and maintain inventory systems to order, control and expedite inventory supplies to enhance the fiscal management of the department.
Schedule and coordinate the daily flow of activity for receiving.
Resolve shipping and receiving issues directly with the vendor or carriers.
Coordinate the receipt and storage of supplies on the dock and within bulk storage.
Perform administrative functions related to the department inventory control and distribution.
Produce monthly statistical reports, complete a physical inventory and perform cycle counts as required.
Participate in the planning and implementation of new procedures, policies and systems.
Maintain the proper and appropriate professional and ethical relationships with all vendor representatives and conduct business according to established principles and guidelines.
Complete six months on-the-job training to learn specialized surgery components, inventory systems and departmental policies and procedures
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
High School Diploma or GED
Valid Driver's License (VDL) with all of Cleveland Clinic insurance requirements
Two years of experience in inventory control functions with responsibility for par levels, purchasing functions, inventory analysis and usage trends OR a Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management

Physical Requirements:
Full range of body motion for handling and lifting items that weigh up to 50 pounds
Pushing a fully loaded cart weighing up to 800 pounds and pulling a 2500-pound pallet using a manual pallet jack
Standing and walking for extensive periods of time
Lifting and carrying objects
Working in a stressful environment and work irregular hours
