Job Title: Forge Operator $28/HR (Direct Hire) Must be open to all shifts

Job Description

Forge Operator

• Use robotic crane to load and unload steel to and from the forge

• Operate equipment that lifts up to 200 lbs of steel

• Operate, or tend presses and forging machines to perform hot or cold forging by flattening, straightening or bending metal

• Identify and manage processing sequences and furnace temperature

• Operate Heavy Industrial Machinery

• Perform dye checks of forgings

• Examine raw materials to verify quality is up to standard for forging

• Work with metals that go up to 800 degrees

Job Type

This is a permanent position.

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Cleveland, Ohio.

Work Environment

This department inspects finished forged metals. It will be hot in the summer and cold in the winter. This is a heavy industrial manufacturing environment with metals weighing anywhere from 20 - 350 lbs, all moved via crane or automated robot. Inspectors will have assigned workstations but will move around to perform different quality testing. Must be open to all shifts: 1st (7:00am - 3:00pm), 2nd (3:00pm - 11:00pm), 3rd (11:00pm - 7:00am). This is a Union environment with a 12 on 2 off schedule (every other weekend off). Starting pay is $24.42/hr. + $4.27 shift differential.
