Job Title: Final Inspector $28.69/hr

Job Description

As a Final Inspector, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and integrity of finished metal parts. You must be open to working all shifts and performing various inspection tasks to maintain high standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform incidental minor salvage operations.

• Make final disposition of products and maintain necessary records.

• Conduct hardness tests of finished metal parts.

• Perform layout work to check dimensions using measuring tools.

• Perform dye check of forgings.

• Obtain and maintain certification as a final and blacklight inspector.

• Prepare, dip, drain, wash, emulsify, develop, dry, and inspect stock and forgings using blacklight techniques.

• Probe and remove defects observed during the inspection process.

• Repair and blend surface defects as required.

• Occasionally draw sketches of defects and locate defects on drawings.

• Layout forgings for bandsawing and machining.

• Pack and unpack products for shipment in conjunction with the inspection operation.

• Use industrial trucks to transport material within the work area.

• Ensure products meet customer specifications before finalizing in the system.

Work Environment

This department inspects finished forged metals in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment. Temperatures can vary, being hot in the summer and cold in the winter. The role involves handling metals weighing from 20 to 350 lbs, moved via crane or automated robots. Inspectors will work at assigned stations but will need to move around to perform different quality tests.

This is a Permanent position based out of Cleveland, Ohio.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45000.00 - $60000.00

• Supplementary pay plan – in addition to salary OT is paid in blocks of 2 hours ($125), 4 hours ($250), 8 hours ($500)

• Will be paid $250/month for working 3rd (shift differential)

• 401k competitive = matches 100% of earnings up to 6% add another 3% - total 9% match
