Case Western Reserve University Education Programs Manager in Cleveland, Ohio

POSITION OBJECTIVE

The Flora Stone Mather Center is a community space and a social innovator advancing women and gender equity through research-informed action. The Education Programs Manager oversees a community and campus collaborative of gender equity education ensuring the delivery of evidence-based educational workshops and trainings on violence prevention, sexual wellness, and gender equity in higher education, as well as coordinating large-scale events and awareness activities. This position will be responsible for leading a peer education initiative for Case Western Reserve University that is inclusive of women of color, trans and non-binary, and men-identified communities. Additionally, the program manager will participate in university committees and support the work of the Associate Director of Research.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  1. Lead all campus violence prevention education under *It¿s On CWRU *initiative. Make decisions regarding relevant themes, audience outreach, and desired outcome of annual programs on a year-to-year basis. Create regular reports related to evaluations of programs and events and initiate improvements based on data gathered from evaluations provided to participants after each program. Manage and execute all related workshops, programs, and events; develop marketing for social media accounts and webpages and distribute these marketing materials; develop community and campus partnerships; and conduct assessment and evaluation of violence prevention and education programs. (15%)
  2. Research the most effective and impactful delivery methods for education around gender equity and sexual wellness topics, based on national best practices. Train and supervise student staff in the facilitation of gender equity and sexual wellness programs. Record and track participants and make semi-annual changes to education programs based on participants evaluations. Facilitate or co-facilitate sessions. (15%)
  3. Serve as an instructor for the sexual wellness course (1 semester per year, 15 week course) as part of Case Western Reserve University¿s wellness credits. Develop evidence-informed curriculum for the course. Serve as the primary instructor for the course and collaborate with athletics, academics, and other related offices to continually review curriculum and implementation. (15%)
  4. Oversee campus-wide awareness month initiatives, programs, and events (such as Sexpopalooza and Sexual Assault Awareness Month) and lead collaborative vision, design, and execution with campus partners. (15%)
  5. Select, hire, train, and supervise Peer Educators in the execution of all It¿s On CWRU initiatives, including responsibility for implementing and reviewing evaluation data with them. (15%)
  6. Support the Associate Director of Research and Evaluation by conducting, assessing, or implementing academic research projects, specifically as they relate to violence prevention and gender equity. (10%)
  7. Provide general support for Mather Center, including attendance at required university and community events. Participate in collaborations with partner offices. Represent the center at recruitment, orientation, and other major events. May present on Mather Center work at local, regional, and national conferences as requested. Participate in teambuilding and university professional development opportunities. (15%)
