Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a Database Administrator to work at one of our top clients in Cleveland, OH OR Cary, NC. This person will be working four days onsite and 1 days remote. They will be primarily responsible for the implementation of new technologies as well as upgrading existing ones. This person will be working along a team of roughly 4, 2 Full-Time works and 2 consultants. This person will be responsible for supporting 75% SQL Database and roughly 25% DB2. They have roughly 200 SQL servers and 100 DB2 servers. They receive roughly 10 tickets a day that get passed to the consultants. This person will be fairly high level and will focus more on upgrades, level 2 and 3 support. The ideal candidate would have a background in backup & disaster recovery and performance tuning experience. This role is roughly 120-130K with bonuses.

Skills and Requirements

- Bachelors Degree

- Minimum of 7 years experience as a SQL DBA

- Experience working with DB2

- Cloud database experience supporting Azure databases and SQL Managed Instances

- Implement database security best practices

- Previous experience working in a Unix Environment

- Performance Tuning

- Experience in Backup & Disaster Recovery - Strong communication and team oriented

- Agile project management skills

- SQL Server

- Microsoft Azure null
