Job Description: The Data Engineer Senior Developer will provide critical infrastructure for analytical support and solution development for the broader Enterprise using market leading tools and methodologies. In this role, you will harness your expertise in dimensional modeling and advanced data engineering skills to create and deliver robust BI solutions and data products, catering to the needs of our internal stakeholders. The ideal candidate must have deep expertise in data modeling, infrastructure development, and will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the Enterprise Analytics Platform to support data-driven decision-making across the organization. Success in this role requires a strong interest in analysis, best practice knowledge, critical thinking, problem-solving, as well as excellent interpersonal, communication, listening and presentation skills. Responsibilities Design, develop and implement advanced, scalable, and highly performant data pipelines using Azure Data Factory, SQL, and Python to support analytics and reporting. Integrate data from various sources, including SQL databases, Excel, cloud services, and other BI tools to develop and optimize data models (OLTP, OLAP) and ETL workflows to support reporting. Collaborate with other developers, senior leadership, and business SMEs to discover platform solution requirements, while performing data discovery and independently executing complex data analysis across multiple platforms (e.g., SQL, Fabric, Power BI, and Excel). Work with Microsoft Fabric to build and manage modern data infrastructure platform in a medallion architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold), leveraging PySpark and other Notebook-based approaches. Demonstrate platform capabilities and promote application of tools as appropriate to address business requirements. Collaborate with peers on best practices for security, governance, and performance optimization. Understand and apply intermediate to advance Azure DevOps methodologies to drive an exemplary customer experience; apply elementary project management techniques to ensure communicable progress. Document processes, data flows, and architecture to ensure system transparency and maintainability. Effectively communicate across the organization in a manner easily understood by individuals with diverse technical and business backgrounds. Requirements Intermediate or advanced proficiency and knowledge of databases (on-prem or cloud), querying data using SQL, Python, Power Query, or other comparable languages. Working Knowledge of Azure Data Services (e.g., Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Factory) Substantial experience with data modeling, ETL processes, as well as advanced understanding of dimensional modelling. Proficient in integrating data from various sources, including cloud-based platforms via API. Strong understanding of cloud ecosystems (Azure, AWS, GCP).
