Primary Responsibilities In the role of Control Systems Section Manager, we'll count on you to: Take responsibility for operations of control systems section including staff development, profitability, morale, quality control and marketing support Function as a control systems design lead and take responsibility for production on projects in addition to management responsibilities Take administrative responsibility for section staff and technical service functions, and lead and coordinate services with other sections Be involved in marketing planning, proposals and interviews See that all work is planned, organized, controlled and evaluated through proactive project management system Implement, monitor and support company policy Select, train, develop and manage technical personnel Work cooperatively with National Directors and marketing staff in local and national marketing and production efforts Coordinate the work of the control systems design team through the design development and contract document phases of a project, and assist with capturing additional controls design and systems integration work Write and edit control systems specifications, and select equipment and monitoring/control devices Review electrical documents for areas of conflict with all disciplines Coordinate with and assist affected disciplines with addenda, RFIs, CPRs and change orders, and take responsibility to incorporate agreed-upon changes into the project documents Provide construction contract administration as needed Perform other duties as needed Preferred Qualifications Previous work experience with an A&E/Consulting Engineering firm. Preference given to local candidates. #LI-BM1 Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree A minimum of 10 years experience Professional registration, license or certification may be required based on role Strong communication and listening skills Ability to handle multiple assignments Good leadership and organizational skills An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must What We Believe HDR is our company.
