CNC Machinist | Direct Hire

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in large-scale CNC machining, a strong understanding of programming and tooling, and a commitment to quality and continuous improvement. This role involves working with advanced machining centers and requires the ability to interpret complex engineering prints and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Review engineering prints, select and acquire appropriate tooling.

• Run large machining centers, including Vertical Turning Lathes (VTL) or Horizontal Boring Mills (HBM).

• Edit and maintain CNC programs.

• Demonstrate proficiency with AutoCAD, Fanuc, Siemens, and G code programming.

• Perform machine setup and operation as needed.

• Implement continuous improvement initiatives.

• Inspect and measure machined components.

• Interpret blueprint/drawing specifications and Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).

• Apply various inspection methods, including hand gages and Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM).

Qualifications

• A minimum of three (3) years in large-scale/large component CNC machining.

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Fanuc control, Siemens PLC, and G code programming.

• Experience with machine setup, tool installation, and tool offsets.

• Applied experience with GD&T and various inspection methods.

• Overhead crane operation and rigging experience.

• Basic computer skills for email and web-based communications.

Work Environment

You will be working with 2-3 story tall VTL/Boring Mills, which can be quite an impressive experience. This role is under the direction of the Team Manager and involves safely producing quality parts in a timely manner. Our facility boasts the largest Roll Forming & Press Break machine in the Northern Hemisphere, providing significant opportunities for learning and growth. The work environment is dynamic, with potential growth opportunities, including learning multiple different machining centers.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Cleveland, Ohio.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $60000.00/hr.
