The Sherwin-Williams Company Certification Analyst in Cleveland, Ohio
The Certification Analyst is crucial for ensuring data quality, accuracy, and integrity across the Enterprise Data & Insights (ED&I) organization. This role supports the organization's ability to make informed decisions, drive business growth, and maintain compliance with relevant laws and regulations. The Analyst achieves this through data quality assurance, data governance, continuous improvement, collaboration and training, and certification compliance monitoring. By validating, verifying, and cleansing data, the Certification Analyst helps build a reliable foundation for data-driven decision-making and long-term success. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS: Data Verification and Cleansing: Verify, validate, and cleanse data to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency across systems. Certification Process and Quality Metrics: Monitor and support the evolution of the certification process, and develop and implement data quality metrics, reporting, and monitoring tools. Stakeholder Collaboration and Support: Work closely with data owners, IT teams, and other stakeholders to identify and correct data quality issues, providing support and guidance on data quality management practices. Data Integration: Collaborate on the integration of data across different platforms and systems to ensure seamless data flow. Continuous Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve data quality management processes and procedures to enhance overall performance. Compliance Assurance: Ensure compliance with relevant data management standards, regulations, and industry best practices. FORMAL EDUCATION: Required: Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or in lieu of a related degree, at least 6 years of experience in data science or a related field. Preferred: Related certifications (e.g., CDMP, IQCP, DCM, CISA, CAP, etc.) preferred. KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE: Required: 2+ years of experience in data quality management or data analysis. Demonstrated knowledge of data quality assurance, validation, and verification techniques. Familiarity with data management policies, procedures, and compliance requirements. Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and dealing with various stakeholders. Experience in process improvement and best practices implementation. TECHNICAL/SKILL REQUIREMENTS: Required: Data Analytic Tools: Proficiency in R, Python, SQL. Database Management Systems: Experience with SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL. Data Governance Software: Familiarity with Collibra, Informatica, Talend, or ERWIN. Data Warehousing & ETL Processes: Knowledge of data warehousing and ETL processes.
