The Sherwin-Williams Company Business Analyst - Technical in Cleveland, Ohio

The Business Analyst role is responsible for contributing to identifying, evaluating, and designing technology-based business solutions to help solve key business problems. They work with stakeholders and subject matter experts to understand business processes, workflows, data models, and other system artifacts. This role will help identify opportunities for process improvement and system enhancements and is responsible for documenting and reviewing technical specifications that define system requirements and articulate how systems will meet business goals. The incumbent is also responsible for helping apply system settings and options and will participate in the planning and execution of testing to ensure new or modified systems meet business requirements. The incumbent is knowledgeable in software development lifecycle methodologies and understands system testing and quality assurance principles. They are familiar with database management, SQL, web development technologies, and packaged software applications. They will support process modeling and requirements gathering and leverage this technical expertise to help develop and evaluate third-party solutions or technologies that support business process improvements. The incumbent is responsible for ensuring that system documentation, such as process diagrams, data dictionaries, user manuals, and training materials, are accurate and up-to-date. They will participate in monitoring system metrics such as uptime, response times, and error rates to drive system optimization and performance improvements. Job duties include contact with other employees and access confidential and proprietary information and/or other items of value, and such access may be supervised or unsupervised. Analyze and document business processes, workflows, data models, and other artifacts to assist in capturing the current and future states of business systems Research and propose approaches to develop functional and technical specifications for new or modified systems, processes, and procedures to meet business requirements Work closely with software developers, data analysts, and testers to ensure new systems or changes to existing systems meet the defined business requirements, are delivered timely, and within budget Help apply system settings and options to meet business goals supporting the planning and execution of system testing Conduct research on third-party solutions or technologies and gather insights related to their features, benefits, and drawbacks, and present findings to senior team members Support team in updating and maintaining system documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness, such as process diagrams, data dictionaries, user manuals, and training materials Analyze system metrics, such as uptime, response times, and error rates, to recommend system optimization and performance improvements Continuously monitor industry trends and emerging technologies to support the team with identifying potential opportunities to improve existing business systems and processes Support and coordinate training sessions for end-users, as needed Education Required Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Information Systems, or in lieu of a degree, at least 3 years of experience in the field of business systems analysis or IT (work experience or a combination of education and work experience in the field of business systems analysis or IT) Preferred Certified Business Analyst Professional (CBAP) or Certified in the Governance of Enterprise IT (CGEIT) Knowledge and Experience Required 2-4 years of experience in business systems analysis and design with a dee
