Aerotek Field Technician in Clermont, Iowa

Job Title: Field Technician

Job Description

As a Field Technician, you will install and repair fabric or metal buildings. Your primary role involves all aspects of building erection and requires traveling 40 to 50 weeks per year. Most construction crews will be on the jobsite up to a week at a time, but home most weekends/some projects necessitating overnight travel. When overnight travel is required, we provide accommodation and a meal per diem. Crews meet at the shop and travel to and from the jobsite via company truck. One way drive time is paid for travel from the shop to the jobsite.

Hard Skills

  • Construction experience

  • Ability to use Hand/Power Tools

  • Ability/Willingness to travel 40+ weeks out of the year

  • Minor Concrete Work, Wood Post and I-Beam Foundations, Steel Erection

  • Ability to follow Blueprints or Diagrams

  • Windows and Doors Installation

  • Gutter and Downspout Installation

  • Insulation Installation

  • Maintain and Repair Buildings

Soft Skills

Work Environment

As a Field Technician, you will work in changing environments, with moderate moving machinery, dust, occasional extreme heat, extreme cold, humidity/water. You will also experience moderate outdoor weather conditions and loud noise.
