We are in search of a Plant Controller to join our team near Cleburne, Texas. This role is pivotal in managing the financial operations of our manufacturing plant and requires a solid understanding of manufacturing cost accounting, inventory management, budgeting, and forecasting. This is an in-office position (may have hybrid schedule down the road).

Responsibilities:

• Oversee financial reporting, cost accounting, revenue management, budgeting, inventory management, and forecasting at the plant level.

• Participate in operations meetings to stay informed about operational issues impacting financial performance.

• Implement financial planning and analysis tools for the enhancement of the plant's financial operations.

• Develop and implement internal control policies, guidelines, and procedures for activities such as budget administration, cash and credit management, and accounting.

• Advise the plant manager and other senior managers on operational and financial matters including capital expenditure requests and cost improvement measures.

• Participate in monthly plant internal business reviews and period close process.

• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal budgetary reporting requirements.

• Prepare forecasts and annual budget for plant operations.

• Utilize various software systems like SAP.

• Oversee accounts payable and annual budget processes.

• Conduct auditing and KPI reporting.

• Manage month-end close processes.

Requirements

• Possess a minimum of seven years of experience in a similar role such as Plant Controller or equivalent.

• Proficiency in 3M, Eaton, and Epicor is required.

• Must have a strong background in Accounting Software Systems and ADP - Financial Services.

• Expertise in all accounting functions including Accounts Payable (AP), annual budgeting, auditing, and month-end close.

• Experience with budget processes and job costings is necessary.

• Must have a good understanding of KPI reporting.

• Ability to manage financial tasks effectively while ensuring company policies and procedures are adhered to.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are required.

• A bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field is required.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills are essential.

• Must be able to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time efficiently.

• Proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly Excel, is required.

• Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.

• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships across all levels of the organization.

• Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements is necessary.
