INTERAMERICAN FOODS CORPORATION Industrial Electrical Maintenance Technician I in CLEBURNE, Texas

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Performs electrical / mechanical testing and troubleshooting to determine root cause of issues.Perform unscheduled maintenance on all equipment and machinery to repair or replace defectiveparts.Performs scheduled maintenance and PMs on all equipment.Reports and tracks issues with equipment.Conducts machine setup, operate and testing of all machinery.Reads electrical schematics, comprehend instructions, and follows as requiredReviews, evaluates and prioritizes maintenance procedures.Reports on current activities and ongoing repairs being conducted.Possesses strong ability to diagnose root cause of machine failure.Conducts machine setup and tests before startup of machinery.

Inspects, repairs and performs test on mechanical drives/motors, pneumatic and hydraulicequipment.Reads and understands equipment manuals.Completes setup of computer equipment.Tests and reads electronic controls and PLC software.Meets the requirements of HACCP, BRC, and FSMA.Practices and observes Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).Responsible for ensuring all assigned areas are sanitary and orderly on a daily basis.Practices safe and secure environment, reporting to a supervisor any observed issues (i.e. foodsafety, physical safety, environment, equipment).

NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Uses multi-meters, calipers and dial indicators.Performs typical building maintenance.Programming of electronically controlled equipment.Performs other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES:

Level I and II:Understanding of PLC control Logix.Proven experience and ability in mechanical, electrical, and electronic troubleshooting andmaintenance techniquesMust have the ability to demonstrate working knowledge of mechanical/electricalprinciples/conceptsAbility to read electrical schematics, comprehend instructions given via OEM or a third partytechnical / installation literatureAbility to work with AC motors, DC motors and servo motors, servo controllers, variable frequencydrives, AC and DC control circuits, PLC communications networks, pneumatic components,hydraulic components, conveyor systems, bucket elevators and other interrelated processequipment.Ability to work alone on a task and stay until completedWorking knowledge of Maintenance Connection highly desiredExcellent computer skills requiredAbility to work various shifts and schedules to meet the needs of the businessMust be certified or able to get certification for confined spacesWorking with 3-phase motors and motor controlUnderstanding of VFD and setupTroubleshooting skills to determine root causeProblem-solving

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

:

High School diploma/GED requiredExperience working as an IndustrialElectrician in a manufacturingenvironment or equivalent combinationof education and experienceFood Manufacturing experiencepreferredRequires minimum experience inIndustrial Electrical work in amanufacturing environment: Level I: entry level - two (2) years Pay: $31 / hr + $2 shift difference
