Tax Sales Associate

Job Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Tax Sales Associate. As a Tax Sales Associate, you will be responsible for assisting management in monitoring CIS order screens, training the sales tax staff, and addressing sales tax issues with various departments and customers. You will also be involved in preparing reports, conducting audits, and maintaining compliance with state guidelines. This position offers the flexibility to work either remotely or in our office, with a shift from 8a-5p EST. If working remotely, you will have the convenience of Zoom interviews and the option for a temp-to-perm arrangement.

Job Specifications:

• Job Type: Full-time

• Pay Rate: $17/hr - $22/hr

• Shift: 8a-5p EST

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Assist management in monitoring CIS order screens and initiating/responding to interdepartmental contacts.

• Train the sales tax staff and review/resolve discrepancies on customer accounts and tax documentation.

• Prepare and maintain reports, special projects, and duties assigned by management, including self-audits and sales and use audits.

• Act as a liaison with various departments and customers to address sales tax issues.

• Stay updated on current state guidelines for all 50 states and Canada, maintaining flexibility in working with state compliance guidelines.

• Assist management with special projects, audit research, and compilation of customer data for presentation to auditors.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables and formulas.

• Experience with SAP or any other systems/Apps.

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• College degree preferred.
