We are currently seeking a full-time Pharmacy Technician I for our Pharmacy at Morton Plant Hospital in Clearwater, FL. Founded in 1916, Morton Plant Hospital was the first hospital built in northern Pinellas County. Known for advanced medical technologies, cutting-edge clinical research and outstanding patient care, Morton Plant Hospital is nationally recognized as a leader in the field. The 599-bed facility provides highly technical and specialized care to more than 50,000 patients annually and works in more than 50 specialty areas. Morton Plant Hospital is on a continuous path of transformation to meet the future health care needs of the community.

Position Details :

• Facility: Morton Plant Hospital

• Location: Clearwater, FL

• Status: Full Time, hourly

• Shift Hours: Varies

• Weekend Work: Every Other

• On Call: No

Pharmacy Technician I , under the immediate oversight of the Pharmacist, responsibilities include:

• Support the mission of the hospital and pharmacy department

• Efficient, accurate and timely preparation, compounding, labeling, and delivering of pharmaceuticals to assure customer satisfaction

• Required Registration: Florida Department of Health Pharmacy Technician Registry or enrolled into a BayCare hospital with a Florida Board of Pharmacy Licensed Training Program for the Employer Based Registered Pharmacy Technician Training Program

• Preferred experience is 1-year Institutional practice or equivalent as determined by the hiring manager.

• Required specific skills may also include successfully passing Pharmaceutical Calculations exam.

Required Qualifications:

• High School Graduate or Equivalent GED

• Required FL Registered Pharmacy Technician License

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1 year Pharmacy Technician experience

• Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT)
