Position : Maintenance Engineer in Charge

Location : Clearwater, FL

  • Technical or B.S./Electronics field or Engineering preferred, however various combinations of education and experience will be considered.

  • 5+ years of experience working in television production technology.

  • Advanced knowledge of broadcast technology, equipment, facilities and production for major commercial and cable television networks.

  • Familiarity with audio, visual, graphic and other systems used in mobile television facilities.

  • Demonstrated skills and experience in technical aspects of on-site television production with progressive broadcast equipment.

  • Ability to interface with clients and provide a high level of service and support.

  • Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multi-task in high-pressure situations.

  • Must be willing and able to lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs. and be willing to seek assistance for anything over 50 lbs.

  • Must have a valid driver license and a safe driving history as determined by the Company. Driving record will be checked.

  • Ability to travel to various locations.

  • Physical requirements:

  • The following physical requirements are typical, but not all inclusive: good eyesight and hearing, manual dexterity, standing and sitting for long periods of time, calm under pressure, ability to travel and occasionally for extended periods. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job. The Company will make reasonable physical accommodations to facilitate the ability to perform essential job functions.

  • Takes on full responsibility for setup, operation, maintenance and troubleshooting of an F&F mobile unit. Fully in charge of the assigned unit.

  • Perform regular cleaning and inventory checks for the mobile unit.

  • Track and report equipment and system repair and maintenance status.

  • Work with fellow engineers in the repair and maintenance of mobile unit ensuring follow through on repairs, inventory, and updates.

  • Provide guidance to maintenance engineers

  • Solves broadcast issues as they come up. Fully meets the client's needs/requests.

  • Flexibility and availability to work when needed: including days, evenings, holidays and weekends. Extensive travel nationally.

  • Complete other duties as assigned.
