The NeuroRestorative Academy is a residential school for kids with special needs. Work in an environment where all of your clients are in one place you and have close access to the supervising BCBAs. Earn practicum hours toward your BCBA at no cost. Full time hours always available, with a variety of shifts to choose from, and your pay is not impacted by cancellations, school holidays, etc.
Job Responsibilities:
Ensure that individuals’ treatment plans are consistently implemented by following the treatment plan goals and interventions, building and maintaining a therapeutic relationship with those served, utilizing sound judgment, and seeking out appropriate consultation.
Collaborate with treatment team members; contribute to the devolvement of behavioral plans and protocols; train co-workers on behavioral protocols and provide feedback on implementation.
Utilize appropriate interactional style and maintain dignity and respect towards those served.
Prompt safe and socially acceptable replacement behaviors in order to build a repertoire of communication, social interaction, and problem-solving skills.
Fade prompts appropriately to promote successful independent responding.
Increase the frequency or duration of safe and appropriate replacement behaviors by providing access to reinforcers.
Review participant progress objectively using behavior analytic methods, identify solutions to barriers, and make recommendations to the supervisor and behavior analyst when needed.
Accurately collect behavioral data as defined in the RBT program as needed.
Complete all clinical and residential documentation in a timely and accurate manner.
Ensure proper implementation and retraining as needed by routinely communicating with staff.
Schedule and prepare for leisure activities to keep participants engaged and active when therapy sessions are not taking place.
Participate in training and refreshers from clinical staff on the implementation of program updates to ensure that rehabilitative objectives are achieved.
Attend bi-weekly RBT meetings
Provide up-to-date residential status of participants and identify problem areas affecting the participant; implement solutions as recommended by the clinical team.
Understand and ensure adherence to company policies and procedures while maintaining compliance with relevant external regulatory guidelines.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
RBT credential required
Two years of completed college coursework in psychology, education, social work, behavioral science, human development, or related field preferred.
Two years of experience working with individuals with autism or developmental disabilities who engage in severe problem behaviors preferred.
Current CPR/First Aid certification as required by state.
Current driver’s license in good standing, car registration, and auto insurance if providing transportation for individual receiving services.
Professional, with the ability to maintain composure and exercise sound judgment and discretion.
Exceptional communication skills with an ability to establish trust and rapport quickly.
A good listener with an ability to empathize while still providing guidance.
