What you will be doing: You’ll be responsible for establishing and developing and networks with community entities. Enhances job opportunities and relationships with outreach and admissions/career transition services (OA/CTS) partners for the Job Corps graduates and promotes the center and its mission in compliance with government and management directives.

Essential Functions:

1. Establish and develop relationships with members of the community to communicate Job Corps projects, changes in rules, procedures or activities of the center that may affect the community and planning of events of mutual interest to the community and Job Corps.

2. Keep local, state, and federal elected officials informed of the Job Corps activities.

3. Conduct proactive information/education campaigns including organizing and facilitating town hall meetings and other organizational meetings, educating journalists, and encouraging positive media coverage of center activities.

4. Contribute to the local Youth Council and development of its plan by working with key staff.

Education and Experience Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree preferred and two (2) year’s related experience. Direct related experience may be considered in lieu of formal education requirements.

• A valid driver license with an acceptable driving record.
