Cribl, Inc Senior Commercial Counsel in Clarksdale, Mississippi
This is a job for a Senior Commercial Counsel with a company located in the Jackson, MS area.
Responsibilities: Review, draft, and negotiate contracts, including SaaS and software licensing contracts, partnership, reseller and MSP contracts, distribution agreements, non-disclosure agreements, and vendor contracts; Collaborate with and support the partner channel teams in facilitating and negotiating deals with partners; Provide expert legal advice and support to sales and other cross-functional teams on legal issues, including problem solving with a focus on providing available options, discussing risks for options, and executing on options the client selects; Use standardized contract review and risk-assessment processes, including to document contracts and obligations, and use contract and matter management tools and software; Coordinate with other internal Legal team members on cross-functional issues, including privacy, security, compliance, and product teams, as needed; and All other responsibilities, duties, functions, and activities as assigned.
Qualifications: At least 10 years of experience in a commercial in-house role at a technology company or similar technical experience, including experience in drafting and reviewing contracts using a standardized review and risk-assessment process; Experience supporting and collaborating with sales and partner channel teams in a technology company to achieve business objectives within the risk parameters established by the Legal team; Demonstrated ability to coach and support the professional development of a team; Ability to build consensus and drive alignment across many internal and external stakeholders and teams; Experience with working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment; Experience with using business and legal operations systems such as Ironclad, SalesForce and Xakia; Comfort in a remote environment, self-motivated to work asynchronously and independently as the manager and team members sit in different time zones throughout the US and EMEA; Ability to work with a sense of urgency, collaboratively in a team-focused environment.
