DESCRIPTION OF WORK

The Human Resource Analyst 1 is assigned to the Human Resource Field Operations division within the Department of Human Services. This position is responsible for managing various human resource functions for Clarks Summit State Hospital, a 24/7 operation facility under the Office of Mental and Substance Abuse Services (OMHSAS). The primary duties include managing of the talent management process to fill vacancies, preparing and analyzing reports, and assisting with labor relations activity. You will be responsible for the tracking of hiring activity, coordinating with and advising Hiring Managers on the interview process, and coordinating contact with selected candidates to make conditional and/or official job offers.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment.
  • Work hours are 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday - Friday, with 60-minute lunch.
  • *Telework: *You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the HR Office at Clarks Summit State Hospital.
  • Salary:* *In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

 

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • One year of experience in the performance of technical human resource duties; and a bachelor's degree; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training. 

Other Requirements:

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.

     

*Legal Requirements: *

  • A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
  • This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.

    • Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
