Diesel Mechanic Apprentice

PeopleReady of  Clarks Grove , MN is now hiring Diesel Mechanic Apprentices! Seeking a candidate who is currently taking diesel mechanic classes or is going to start soon. The candidate will watch and follow his/her mentor, retrieve tools, parts and learn about safety and the process.  Client is wiling to work around diesel mechanic school schedule. The Facility is open from 6am – 9pm M-F. So, if school is in the am, the worker can work in the evening or vise versa. This would be a great opportunity to make sure it the right field for the worker and to prove themselves to client. The candidate will learn what it takes to keep equipment running in a safe manner, must have a good mind set and willing to learn. This is a Temp-to Hire position. Client provides 10K worth of tools and when hired on, after 2 years, the tool will then belong to the candidate. As a Diesel Mechanic Apprentice, you will do a variety of work in different industries.

Pay Rate:

The pay rate for this job is $20 / Hour

What you'll be doing as a Diesel Mechanic Apprentice:

• Diagnosing and troubleshooting

• Identifying issues with diesel engines and related systems using diagnostic tools and software.

• Performing repairs and maintenance

• Repairing or replacing faulty components like fuel injectors, turbochargers, pistons, and valves.

• Routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes and filter replacements are also common.

• Conducting inspections and testing

• Inspecting engine parts, assessing fluid levels, testing electrical systems, and conducting performance evaluations to ensure engines meet safety and regulatory standards.

• Engine overhauls and rebuilds

• Performing extensive engine overhauls or rebuilds when necessary12.
