Jacobs Electrical Engineer Professional Intermediate Level in Clark, New Jersey

Coordinating manufacturing, installation, maintenance, support, documentation, and testing activities to ensure compliance with specifications, codes (NFPA, OSHA and NEC), and customer requirements. Reviewing designs for power and grounding facility services, low voltage communications and monitoring, as well as interconnect cabling and pathways for large tools in a semiconductor fabrication plant. Modeling and conducting power system analysis (short circuit, load flow, protective relay coordination, arc flash) using Easy Power Software. Assisting with planning, scheduling, and coordinating detailed phases of engineering work. Coordinating details and miscellaneous design criteria with other disciplines. Facilitating the onboarding process for new electrical engineers through effective coordination and implementation of training programs. Providing comprehensive updates on project status during meetings, contributing to informed decision-making and project progression. Using the Bluebeam software to deliver precise markup directions to designers, enhancing collaboration and ensuring alignment with project requirements.

Job duties are project-based and performed on long-term assignments at various unanticipated sites within the U.S. which may require relocation at the end of each project.

Telecommuting is allowed.

REQUIREMENTS: This position requires a Bachelor degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical Engineering or closely related field and 2 years of work experience in job offered (Electrical Engineer) or related occupation.

SPECIFIC SKILLS: Expertise/ knowledge of: Information provided by Circuit Management Program-Easy Power regarding Electrical Circuit Requests (ECRs), and Electrical Circuit Breaker layout within an electrical panel. Ability to review and verify Circuit Breaker settings for adjustable circuit breakers. Ability to use Jira to review available Records of Discussion (RODs) and ability use knowledge and engineering skills to resolve RODs to the Client’s satisfaction. Ability to perform complete Quality Assurance (QA) reviews and in turn fill the QA checklist to completeness. Ability to assign new trainees to correct training modules. Ability to communicate effectively with client and trades. Familiar with concepts of arc flash and fault current and how to mitigate, escalates unique cases. Ability to review supplier data and escalate if discrepancies/missing information.
