Dartmouth Health MRI Technologist, Per Diem in Claremont, New Hampshire

At Valley Regional Hospital, patients are the center of our coordinated care system, where efficient, effective services are tailored to their needs by dedicated professionals and healthcare workers throughout our organization. In this role, you would provide direct patient care by performing MRI imaging studies and procedures. This vital role requires the ability to explain and perform MRI procedures with consideration to the level of understanding and age appropriateness of the patient. Essential Functions.
Responsible for the independent operation of MRI scanner and Diagnostic Radiographic equipment.
Responsible for performing a variety of imaging procedures that include Diagnostic Radiology and MRI exams.
Responsible for patient safety protocols, daily patient schedule, equipment maintenance, the report of equipment failures and quality assessment (QA) of work performed.
Must maintain a high standard of medical ethics at all times and is self-motivated to increase level of understanding and knowledge of the field, disease and new procedures as they evolve.
Must be able to work in collaboration with other modalities, team members, supervisors, and Radiologists.
Willing to triage workload and ensure emergent cases are performed in a timely fashion.
Perform other duties as needed and/or assigned.
Ideal Qualifications Include:
High School graduate; AAS degree preferred.
Graduate of an AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology
Actively registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
Current compliance with continuing education credit requirements
Current BLS certification
A.R.R.T. registered in Radiology and MR required; A.R.R.T.
One year of experience under a Board Certified Radiologist
