CARGO TRANSPORTERS INC Customer Service Representative in Claremont, North Carolina

Primary Function: To effectively communicate, coordinate and facilitate the core needs for our customer base. Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers and properly communicate their needs to all operations of the company.

Essential Position Responsibilities:

  • Communicate effectively to all customers, internal or external.
  • Data entry into multiple web based and non-web based systems.
  • Arrange pick-up and delivery schedules based on customer needs.
  • Understand and adapt to each customers mannerisms, behaviors and means of communication.
  • Other duties as assigned to meet business needs.

Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong communication and computer skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks.
  • Strong problem solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Must be a self-starter and able to work independently.
  • Ability to work well with others.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in transportation industry preferred, but not required.
  • Customer Service experience preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
