Job Description

Insight Global is looking for 50 industrial electricians to join one of our largest steel clients at one of their three mill locations. These electricians will be responsible for performing all electrical maintenance functions on all operating and service equipment in the mills. They will also be expected to install, maintain, repair, and operate heavy industrial electrical systems and equipment using tools like mobile equipment, pendant cranes, overhead cranes, and forklifts.

Must be able to pass a Ramsey Assessment administered by the client as well as a full panel drug screen (hair follicle and urine). This person will be working in a 365 day/24-hour environment, so they must be okay with overtime, weekend, and holiday work. The environment will be exposed to weather and steel mill conditions, including being wet, hot, dirty, and greasy.

Looking for 30 electricians in Mon Valley Works (Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania), 10 in Gary Works (Gary, Indiana), and 10 in Great Lakes Works (Ecorse, Michigan)

Skills and Requirements

• Minimum 1 year industrial electrical/electronics experience or equivalent education

• Associates Degree with an electrical/electronics focus (electrical maintenance, electrical field, electronics) Experience with old industry machinery and digital electronics

Experience in a steel mill, finishing mill, oil and gas industry, electrical utilities company, coal mines

Experience with high voltage (480+), PLCs, AC/DC motor repair, overhead crane repair, line work, and industrial electric systems/equipment null
