Pacific Seafood Senior Transportation Manager in Clackamas, Oregon

Summary:

 The Senior Transportation Manager will be responsible for developing, monitoring, and auditing all Transportation Managers, Drivers, procedures, random drug testing, transportation policies, and training throughout Pacific Seafood. Responsible for overseeing maintenance, and transportation functions for Last Mile Delivery company vehicles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Logistics/Transportation Compliance

  • Compliance Management - Maintain a comprehensive understanding of state and federal regulations governing the transportation industry. Ensure that the transportation department adheres to all relevant compliance standards.

  • Fleet Registration – IRP/ IFTA.

  • Implements and ensures compliance with the company’s Logistics Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). Ensures all training and adherence to these policies and/or reports any non-conformances or correction.

  • Creation and monitoring of Logistics KPI’s.

  • Fleet Management

    • SAP logistics solution rollout.
  • Last Mile Delivery optimization and network studies.

  • Reporting & Analysis.

  • Responsible for driving Safety, Customer Service, and Efficiencies through our Last Mile Delivery operation.

  • Fleet Management – Operational execution of PM services, roadside programs, tires, wash programs, equipment purchases, and fuel programs in parallel with corporate purchasing.

  • Fleet Registration – IRP/ IFTA.

  • Right sizing equipment to meet the needs of the Last Mile Delivery operation. 

  • Validation of additional equipment needs.

    1. Leadership:
    • Be a role model in projecting and applying The Pacific Group Diamond Philosophy (Productivity, Quality, Excellence, and teamwork) and promote teamwork at all times.
  • Provides transportation guidance to all transportation representatives in operations managing workflow/task execution and the integration of all functions to their respective site.

  • Ensure company Health and Safety Policies and Procedures are communicated and adhered to.

    Additional responsibilities may be assigned as deemed necessary to support the overall goals and objectives of the position.

     

    What You Bring to Pacific Seafood:

    Required:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university; or 8 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • 6+ years’ experience in fleet management and safety compliance.

  • Valid driver’s license

  • DOT Compliance and Audit Knowledge 

    Salary Range: $78,763 - 98,454 annually
