Job Description:

• Milk accounting

• Update human resources files

• Coordinate inventory management activities (e.g., physical inventories)

• Process invoices for payment and track payables

• Perform period-end functions

• Track spending on capital projects and report progress to Supply Backstage

• Verify production reporting and backflushing of ingredients and supplies

• Calculate and report production statistics

• Process sales orders and sales returns

• Participate in special projects

• Perform general administrative tasks (e.g., reception duties, IT requests)

• Participate in the development and maintenance of a world class manufacturing environment

• Review weekly time and attendance and process paychecks.

• Create and issue purchase orders for non-stock items (e.g., parts, janitorial and office supplies, etc.)

• Work safely

• Perform other duties as assigned

Experience:

• 5+ years of accounting experience to include AP/AR and Inventory Control.

Skills:

• Dairy or Food production account experience is a very nice to have

• Strong working knowledge of MS Windows and Office. Adage and other Safeway IT applications are preferred.

• An ability to communicate effectively with peers and supervisors in both oral and written form.

• An ability to plan, organize and coordinate daily activities.

• A Willingness to learn multiple tasks and work in a cross- functional environment.

• teamwork

• A willingness to work in a safe manner and promote a safe working environment.

Education:

• HS Diploma or GED equivalent. College degree is preferred.
