Job Description Summary:
The Maintenance & Engineering Director provides leadership, strategic direction, and technical solutions to CPS Mexico Plant in the areas of maintenance, automation, engineering, technology modernization, productivity, and cost improvement. This position will also be enabling the development of the desired winning culture in the new state-of-the-art manufacturing facility, through a people plan to include capability building, high-performance teams, organization design, communication, agile, productivity, and innovation environment.
What you´ll do for us:
Strategy and direction: As a key member of the Plant Leadership Team, contribute to the overall strategic planning and day-to-day management of the operation leading to the development of a World Class Manufacturing Operation.
Understand the business environment, strategy, and people implications around transformation to operate in high technology, productive environment. Foster teamwork to sustain adding value to the Plant.
Advance initiatives to drive risk reduction through hazard analysis and implementation of safety improvements. Promote and sustain the safety, health, and welfare of all personnel.
Provide leadership and direction to the maintenance and engineering team. Inspire high performance through effective goal setting and performance measurement.
Manage, Teach, Coach, Develop the following positions: Maintenance Manager, Engineering Projects Manager, and Administration & Services Manager.
Facilitate continuous reduction in waste, downtime, setup, and cost.
Drive process improvement and problem-solving through Lean / Six Sigma principles and strong root cause analysis.
Develops manufacturing processes by studying product requirements; researching, designing, modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment; conferring with equipment vendors.
Initiate, write, manage, and effectively lead the process for Capital Expenses, aligned with Strategic Plan and Global Company requirements.
Implement Site Master Plan.
Lead a team of direct reports while also providing inspirational leadership to other functions and many indirect reports to maintain and further enhance employee engagement.
Assist in attracting, developing, and retaining diverse talent in the area.
Champion performance enablement and high-performance team environment.
Facilitate change management, enabling resilience and effective adaptation to changes enabling CPS MX to become a referent on transformation, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Facilitate and conduct training as required, enabling CPS MX as center of excellence in capability building.
Leverage the use of tools /knowledge / informational sources to identify business trends and provides insights on industry trends, barriers, risk, and opportunities that may impact the operations.
Align Maintenance and Engineering processes and initiatives with the Global Engineering Team.
Evaluate current and potential future manufacturing processes by designing and conducting research programs; applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials; conferring with equipment vendors; soliciting observations from operators.
Comply with the guidelines of Food Safety, Integrated Management System (Quality, Environment, Occupational Health and Safety), KORE Corporate Standards and any other applicable legal requirements, established or subscribed by the Company, related to your job, complying with the policies, internal plans, and procedures that ensure the proper implementation and continuous improvement of the company.
Qualification and Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in industrial, mechanical, electrical, or related field. Related post-education training certifications. Preferred Post-graduate degree, MBA.
At least 10 years in similar positions and management of staff in charge, of previous work experience in Hands-on maintenance experience in advanced processing environments. Proven technical expertise in processes and/or machinery utilized in the beverage industry. Expertise in analyzing line performance to pinpoint operational opportunities to prioritize resource allocation.
Brownfields and Greenfields experience desired.
Demonstrated ability to develop or improve shop floor control, work measurement, and quality measurement processes and systems
Experience in developing Lean factory workflows and layouts
Experience with Multi-machinery manufacturing methods and materials technology
Understanding of Machine/Process Capability as well as the application of Statistical process control
Advanced skills in project management tools, methods, and applications
Understanding of CAPEX investment processes
Interpersonal skills, including coaching and influencing. Strategic Thinking Skills. Trainer and coaching skills. Business economic knowledge
Advanced Spanish and English are spoken and written skills
This position is 100% in site role, non-negotiable.

Travel Requirements
The position will be primarily based at the plant, with occasional business trips up to 10% of work time under normal conditions. Trips include occasional visits other concentrate plants, bottling operations or Company offices.
