Citigroup Banamex - Manager de Reconciliaciones Seguros y Pensiones (Operaciones) - C12 in Ciudad De Mexico, Mexico

The Ops Sup Manager is an intermediate management level position responsible for providing full leadership and direction to a team of employees in an effort to provide operations support services in coordination with the Operations - Core team. The overall objective of this role is to ensure the seamless delivery of operations support services in alignment with Citi operations support infrastructure and processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Operations Support department through delegation of tasks and responsibilities for multiple teams

  • Conduct performance evaluations, compensations, hiring, disciplinary actions, and terminations of team members as well as determining staffing needs

  • Monitor team’s end results, ensuring quality and efficiency and contributes to resource planning, budget management and formulation of procedures

  • Contribute to development of new techniques, models, and plans within area of expertise

  • Facilitate alignment of the Operations Support infrastructure through focused technologies and processes

  • Ensure compliance with government regulations as they pertain to retail accounts serviced through the evaluation and implementation of appropriate control and testing measures

  • Provide evaluative judgement based on analysis of information and in-depth knowledge of policies and procedures in complicated and unique situations

  • Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision.

  • Can exercise independence of judgement and autonomy.

  • Acts as SME to senior stakeholders and /or other team members.

  • Ability to manage teams.

  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.

Qualifications:

  • 5-8 years of experience managing a team

  • Experience in analyzing business requirements, developing test plans, and discrepancy resolution

  • Required Licensing/Registration: Series 7, Series 9, Series 10, and Series 63

  • Ability to work unsupervised and adjust priorities quickly as circumstances dictate

  • Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements

  • Self-motivated and detail oriented

  • Proven organization and time management skills

  • Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills

  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience

Mínimo licenciatura en Contaduría preferente o Economía/ Administración (con experiencia en Contaduría)

  • Al menos 5 años: Conocimiento especializado en procesos contabilidad de seguros y pensiones (preferiblemente en Contabilidad Operaciones), informes regulatorios y conocimiento general de la industria aseguradora (cuyo último puesto sea similar o equivalente a gerencia).

  • 5 años: Experiencia en manejo de equipo (cuyo último puesto sea similar o equivalente a gerencia con personal a su cargo).

  • Se requiere conocimiento de MS Office, análisis numérico, habilidades intermedias – avanzadas de programación.

  • Contador de profesión o amplia con experiencia en contabilidad de seguros y pensiones (preferentemente Contabilidad de Operaciones).

  • Conocimiento en conciliaciones de cuentas contables de seguros, respuesta a auditorías internas y externas, presentación de informes /análisis ejecutivos.

  • Fuerte conocimiento y comprensión en su propio campo o disciplina. Y conocimiento básico de otras áreas del negocio

  • Sólidos conocimientos en materia de Contabilidad y análisis de información numérica.

  • Capacidad de Análisis, solución de problemas y habilidades fuertes de negociación entre áreas para el logro de objetivos.

  • Manejo de bases de datos (programación básica), los conocimientos básicos para revisión de macros en excel, acess, phyton, sql, fox pro.

  • Este rol es responsable de aplicar conocimientos contables profundos para contribuir al desarrollo de nuevas técnicas y la mejora de los procesos y flujos de trabajo del área de conciliación de operaciones. Tiene a su cargo la revisión y coordinación de informes contables, regulatorios y atención de auditorías (internas/externas) que se presenten desde el área.

  • Requiere buenas habilidades analíticas para filtrar, priorizar y validar material potencialmente complejo y dinámico de múltiples fuentes y una comprensión profunda del proceso de Contabilidad de Seguros y Pensiones, preferentemente Operaciones (emisión, cobranza, deudor por prima, cancelación, etc.) para coordinar y resolver diferentes problemas en todas las áreas involucradas para el cierre contable de manera oportuna, con registros contables adecuados y conciliación de todas las cuentas contables de Contabilidad Operaciones.

  • Asume regularmente un rol de liderazgo informal/formal dentro de los equipos y desarrolla el equipo bajo su responsabilidad en términos de conocimiento y habilidades blandas. Además, este rol está involucrado/responsable en la implementación de proyectos tecnológicos, para restructura del negocio, producto o procesos de la compañía de Seguros y Pensiones.

  • Autogestión de procesos , tiempos y responsabilidades a su cargo. Entrega de resultados, reportes y cumplimiento de objetivos.

  • Ingles deseable.
