Citigroup Officer - Market Risk Intermediate Analyst (Hybrid - Philippines) in City of Taguig, Philippines

The Market Risk Intermediate Analyst will be part of the Market Risk Control and Data Analytics team and will play a key role in the integrity of Citi’s Market Risk data quality. The team performs data quality reviews and analysis on information that feeds into CitiRisk Market Risk system. These data shall be utilized for market risk limit reporting, VaR, Stress VaR, Historical VaR, compliance requirements and other regulatory calculations.

Responsibilities:

  • Data analyst will be responsible for the data quality review and issues remediation on market risk data focusing on these areas:

  • Analysis in line with Permitted Product List (PPL) which contains the combination of products and attributes a certain desk is permitted to trade, and Product Market Model (PMM) which contains the combination of products and attributes based on the products’ permissions

  • Analysis in relation to Market Risk’s Critical Data Elements (CDEs) data quality scorecard

  • Perform root cause analysis for data quality issues and identify strategic fixes to resolve them

  • Oversee the implementation of the strategic fixes identified which include but not limited to performing UAT and sanity checks before and after release to production

  • Escalate and follow-up on data quality issues in a timely manner

  • Independently conduct presentations directed to upper management regarding various statistics and critical issues

  • Participate in preparing regular and time-sensitive ad-hoc deliverables to regulators and senior management

  • Develop, leverage, and maintain relationships across varying levels of management and function to ensure a high degree of accuracy in Citigroup’s market risk critical data points and calculations

  • Develop an understanding of various compliance checks and market risk factors that affect VaR, market risk limits, and stress testing

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in Data Quality analysis (experience in Risk and/or Finance is a plus)

  • Strong data analytics, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills to investigate data quality issues, navigating through various data systems

  • Quick learner with excellent verbal and written communication skills, team orientation, and ability to work with counterparts in different areas

  • Time management skills and ability to work in a high-paced environment

  • Attention to detail is essential

  • Experience in interacting with various business partners and stakeholders

  • A high competency level with MS Access/Excel/PowerPoint/Access

Education:

  • Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience
