Robert Half Staff Accountant in City of Industry, California

Description

We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Staff Accountant in the manufacturing industry, based in the City of Industry, California. The role will involve a variety of accounting tasks, including maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Directly report to the Accounting Manager and execute various accounting tasks

• Perform bank reconciliation tasks to ensure accuracy in financial statements

• File sales and use tax documents in accordance with state and federal laws

• Maintain fixed assets, ensuring they are correctly accounted for in financial statements

• Support the financial operations of the company through a proactive approach

• Utilize various accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP for efficient work processes

• Conduct monthly close procedures for timely financial reporting

• Prepare and post journal entries as part of the general ledger maintenance

• Manage accounts payable and receivable to ensure smooth financial operations

• Bring expertise in Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry to the role

Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required

• Solid understanding of accounting principles

• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Hands-on experience with Bank Reconciliations

• Familiarity with General Ledger management

• Ability to prepare and record Journal Entries

• Experience with Month End Close procedures

• Working knowledge of NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP

• Previous experience in the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry preferred

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel

• Ability to handle confidential information responsibly

• Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks

• Commitment to continuous improvement and professional development.
