Job Description Are you ready to unleash your full potential? About the team Worldpay, LLC seeks Software Engineer II in Cincinnati, OH to develop core versions of software applications for sale to external clients. What you will be doing The Software Engineer II will identify client purchasing requirements and technical specifications through Product Management and/or client representatives. Additionally, the role will: Interact with engineering groups to assist in design changes to equipment and/or software. Train and communicate with clients on systems application. Analyze, design, program, debug and modify software enhancements and new products used in local, networked or Internet-related computer programs (Code must be used in core version of applications available for sale commercially). Interact with product managers and users to define system requirements or necessary modifications. Participate in software design meetings and analyzes user needs to determine technical requirements. Write technical specifications based on conceptual design and stated business requirements. Write code, complete programming and perform testing and debugging of applications using current programming languages and technologies. Complete documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance. Train and communicate with internal Client Training, Client Relationship and Sales teams on systems application. Develop or execute project plans, budgets and schedules and for documenting work and results. Deliver informational and decision-seeking presentations to technical and business groups to internal and/or external audiences Requirements Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Engineering (any field), Computer Science, or a related field and five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in the job offered or a related occupation: utilizing Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall methodologies for managing projects in Development and Testing Life cycles; documenting Business Requirements translating them into Use Cases and Scenarios; identifying problems and opportunities, documenting requirements, designing optimal solutions, implementing, testing, and validating results; designing, documenting, and reviewing business documents; working with full project life cycle, SDLC, Software Development, Mainframe programming, Testing, and Implementation; implementing validation in COBOL, COBOL DB2 programming on IBM mainframes; working with IBM mainframes using COBOL, JCL, DB2, VSAM, REXX, PL/I; performing E2E batch cycle execution for integration and UAT, integration testing data, test case preparations, defect logging, and management in ALM; implementing multiple point and compliance releases, with release management for deployments; monitoring and validating software artifacts post-deployment; performing production support activities, incident resolution, SLA adherence, and RCA preparation on-site (onshore) and offshore. In the alternative, the employer will accept a Master's degree in the above listed fields and three (3) years of experience in the above listed skills.
