UC HEALTH LLC Occupational Therapist (OT), PRN, First Shift, Occupational Therapy in CINCINNATI, Ohio
Location: Daniel Drake Center- SNF and LTAC Department: SNF PT-OT-Speech Hours: PRN Shift: Varies, Must work 3 shifts every 2 months and 1 holiday per year; Weekday and weekend availability. Occupational Therapist (OT), PRN, First Shift, SNF PT-OT-Speech UC Health is hiring a PRN Occupational Therapist (OT) for the SNF PT-OT-Speech's department for the first shift at the Daniel Drake Center. The Occupational Therapist will support the Daniel Drake Center's occupational therapy's team in delivering high-quality care to patients based on assessed needs. The major focus will be on evaluating, planning, and implement Physical Therapy treatment programs for referred patients in order to restore function, prevent disability, reduce pain, and return to his/her maximum function. Follow hospital department approved policies related to documentation, attendance, education, etc. Show respect and courtesy to all staff, patients, and visitors.Education and Experience Requirements:
- Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy from a school accredited by AOTA.
- License & Certification:
- License to practice Occupational Therapy in the state of Ohio.
- Certification by the NBCOT
- CPR Certification.
- Years of Experience:
- Recently certified, licensed or graduates within past 12 months.
- Preferred: 1-2 years equivalent experience.
- Must have the ability to evaluate and treat patients with various diagnoses and deficits. Use of theoretically sound therapeutic recreation intervention/methods using various treatment modalities dependent upon the needs and abilities of the patient.

Engages in population appropriate communication. Has knowledge of growth and development milestones and tasks. Gives clear instructions to patients/family regarding treatment. Involves family/guardian in the assessment, initial treatment and continuing care of the patient. Identifies any physical limitations of the patient and deploys intervention when necessary.
