Job Summary This position will be in our Master Planning/Facility & Operations group focusing on developing airport facilities to meet the needs of a diverse range of users: airlines, passengers, vehicles, airport staff, aircraft, FAA, environmental agencies, airport support facilities, and the surrounding communities. Students are expected to work as a contributing member within a project team working alongside aviation planners and engineers. Projects range from master planning, airport terminal concept design, airport airfield design, airport support faculties analysis, forecasting, site layouts and analysis, and others. Students get a chance to work on a wide range of airports around the world. Responsibilities & Qualifications The position will provide an opportunity to work on large-scale airport master planning and development projects. We are seeking an individual with a passion for aviation and experience using AutoCAD and Microsoft Office. Working knowledge of Adobe Suite, GIS, SketchUp, and Excel is highly desirable. Students will provide technical support to task managers to fulfill client needs regarding airport planning assignments. Prepare graphic, technical, analytical, and written materials in an effective, clear, and timely manner. Responsible for professional quality and accuracy in all information produced and effectively communicating assignment progress to the task manager. What You Will Do Conduct planning studies and analyze airport facilities and operations Assist in developing airport facility conceptual plans (AutoCAD) Develop GIS databases and mapping for airspace analyses Participate in data collection and surveys Coordinate and write task analysis results and reports Assist in preparing presentations Engage client staff, attend client meetings/presentations, and establish positive relationships Maintain good communication with project team and colleagues Support peers in various task assignments Perform other duties as assigned Additional Information At Landrum & Brown, we strive to create a supportive and enriching learning environment that empowers you to make an impact.
