Job Title : Infrastructure Consultant 2-SQL DBA

Location : Cincinnati, OH

Travel :25%

Job description:

Responsible for the performance, integrity, and security of the organization's databases. With little to no guidance or supervision, the incumbent will ensure that data remains consistent across the database, data is clearly defined, users access data concurrently and in a form that suits their needs, and there is provision for data security and recovery control. This role will be part of the SQL DBA team. There are an on-call rotation responsibilities for this role to support after hours business needs including nights and weekends.

Key Responsibilities:

• Knowledge of the SQL Server Environments 2012-2023

• Good understanding of DMV’s, SQL Traces, and when to use them

• Experience working with application teams, solving issues, and assisting in upgrades a plus

• Experience conducting discoveries a plus.

• Experience configuring and operating within HA environments including clustering, always-on, replication, mirroring, etc.

• Independently Fixes job failures, space issues, performance issues, connection failures, login failures, etc to resolution

• Ticket management experience (managing the ticketing queue for Service requests, tasks, incidents, etc.

Communicates effectively with the team and partners across the organization

Required Skills:

SQL, My SQL,T-SQL, MS SQL Server Reporting Services, xRay

Desired Skills:

• Installs and configures SQL Server SSRS/SSAS/SSIS and instances of SQL Server

• Powershell scripting

• Developer background a plus

• Query analysis

• Experience with configuring and setting up Idera

• Experience with SQL Licensing a plus

• Development experience- Proficiency with T-sql. Capable of creating sql queries to query data, create stored procedures, triggers, etc.
