Overview

Tanaq Government Services (TGS) provides facilities Operations & Maintenance (O&M) services to Federal customers. Services provided include complete building maintenance and operations on large complex individual buildings as well as multiple buildings on large campus type environments including military installations. TGS is a subsidiary of the St. George Tanaq Corporation, an Alaskan Native Corporation (ANC) committed to serving Federal customers while also giving back to the Tanaq native community and shareholders.

About the Role

We are seeking a Facilities Program Manager to plan and manage staff activities related to a federal installation's operations & maintenance and repair functions. The Facilities Program Manager will be responsible for managing its budget and setting goals and objectives for facility support services. In addition, this role will oversee staff and make decisions regarding building repairs and maintenance. The ideal candidate will have comprehensive knowledge of effective management techniques, safety/ environmental and building code requirements, electrical, heating, and air conditioning (HVAC), plumbing, carpentry, and janitorial services.

The Facilities Project Manager will be required to be on call 24/7/365 (including weekends, after hours, and holidays, as needed) and will be responsible for ensuring services are accomplished in accordance with the Performance Work Statement.

This is a fully onsite position at our Federal Government customer’s facility in Cincinnati, Ohio. This position is contingent upon contract award.

Responsibilities

  • Plans, organizes, and manages contractually provided delivery of maintenance and repair services for buildings, structures, electrical systems, utility systems, and HVAC systems.

  • Manages compliance with contract terms, conditions, and obligations. Develops a professional working relationship with crucial contract personnel and establishes official lines of communication. Provides quality control, inventory management, record keeping, and management reporting.

  • Develops and implements a Preventative Maintenance and Corrective Maintenance program that includes predictive testing and inspection of equipment and systems.

  • Supervises staff; ensures a competent, motivated team through hiring, training, counseling, supervising, and reviewing the performance of employees.

  • Schedules and prioritizes tasks and ensures adherence to procedures, regulations, and guidelines while minimizing errors and safety risks.

  • Oversees the implementation, operation, and upgrades for a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to manage and track facility O&M services and asset tracking.

  • Provides management and oversight of third-party subcontractors providing specialized services in support of O&M operations.

  • Manages grounds maintenance to include snow removal services.

  • Manages timecards, sick days, and vacations for staff to ensure departmental coverage and customer satisfaction.

  • Participates in a variety of departmental and other meetings regularly.

  • Frequent travel between facilities is required.

  • Performs other duties and special projects as assigned.

Requirements

Required Experience and Skills

  • Minimum of five (5) years of recent (within the past ten years) responsible experience in managing facilities operation, maintenance, repair, custodial services, grounds maintenance, and building alterations.

  • Demonstrated knowledge, skills, abilities, and experience in customer relations while managing a federal facilities CFM project/program. This experience may be work within the project management field or a field that is closely related.

  • Direct facility experience with large federal facilities greater than 500,000 sq. ft. in size.

  • Experience providing O&M services in support of laboratories, complex data centers, power distribution units (PDU)s, uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), and all support equipment and electrical systems.

  • Management skills to hire qualified employees, provide for their professional development, effectively administer performance management and disciplinary processes, and appropriately address employee relations.

  • Knowledge of planning, purchasing, and project management.

  • Knowledge of specialized departmental equipment, including those used in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general carpentry trades.

  • Ability to read and understand construction, electrical, and equipment drawings, blueprints, and schematics.

  • Knowledge of refrigeration and boilers; electrical circuits and voltage; plumbing and general carpentry; masonry and concrete applications and processes.

  • Computer literacy, including skills to operate word processing, spreadsheet, Internet, and presentation software applications.

  • Ability to build effective working relationships with staff, customers, and others.

  • Converse fluently, understand, read and write in English.

  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing; and to present information and respond to questions from vendors, customers, management, and others.

  • Flexibility to adapt to changing work priorities.

  • Demonstrated leadership, organizational, reasoning, and analytical skills.

  • Ability to travel to local facilities.

  • Must be able to pass background check requirements as set by clients.

  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.

  • Ability to obtain a government clearance.

  • United States citizenship is required.

Education and Training

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering or related field.

Work Environment

Work is performed in an office/shop environment and on job sites. Employee may be required to work in excess of 8 hours in a day and 40 hours per week. The person in this role will be on call 24/7/365.

Pay Range

The projected annual salary range for this position is $120,000/Yr. - $130,000/Yr. USD. Multiple factors are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant work experience, skills, education, certifications, and competencies that align with the specified role, geographic location, as well as business considerations and contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position.
