UC HEALTH LLC Exercise Physiologist, Full-Time, First Shift, Internal Med-Cardio Pulmonary Rehab in CINCINNATI, Ohio

Location: UCMC Department: Internal Med-Cardio Pulmonary Rehab Hours: Full-Time, 40 Hours/Week Shift: First Exercise Physiologist, Full-Time, First Shift, Internal Med-Cardio Pulmonary Rehab UC Health is hiring a Full-Time Exercise Physiologist for the Internal Med-Cardio Pulmonary Rehab department for the first shift for the UC Medical Center. The Exercise Physiologist is an individual educated in exercise science who has specific acquired knowledge and clinic skills in exercise testing, exercise prescription, exercise training, and lifestyle management of a group of clients. She/he interacts with other members of the multidisciplinary team to provide continuity of care to clients. The person in this position must be competent in caring for adult and geriatric patients in the clinical population served. The exercise specialist/physiologist identifies individual fitness needs, establishes exercise guidelines for patients and participants, monitors participant use of wellness equipment for safe and proper technique, and leads wellness exercise classes. The exercise specialist/physiologist performs basic fitness assessments within his/her scope of practice and counsels community participants on appropriate exercise programs. The exercise specialist/physiologist demonstrates behaviors reflective of the mission and core values of the Drake Center as well as those specific to required competencies for successful job performance.Education and Experience:

  • Minimum Required: Bachelor's Degree - Exercise Science or related discipline, Preferred Degree: Master's Degree - Exercise Physiology or related discipline
  • Preferred Certifications: BLS ACLs, ACSM or AACVPR certifications
