Remote Position

Primary Function/General Purpose of Position

The Equipment Planner will lead equipment planning projects through a range of activities from project inception through completion. Additionally, the Equipment Planner will coordinate activities to standardize the selection of equipment and vendors across the ministry.

Essential Job Functions

  • Create internal standard equipment listing for all non-office space for new builds or renovations.

  • Actively participate in project planning for designing space by providing standard equipment listings, recommending layouts based on equipment specifications, and providing input into design.

  • Work closely with the design, construction, and client leadership teams to provide technical design criteria, equipment specification, cost estimates and procurement timing of equipment to incorporate into the schedule.

  • Lead project client/departmental user meetings to finalize equipment selections.

  • Coordinate with site supply chain and vendors to identify existing-to-reuse equipment opportunities including inventory management and reuse strategies.

  • Collaborate with current vendor to create standards equipment entries in the internal electronic catalog resource.

  • Participate in standardization activities in conjunction with sourcing and clinical transformation areas.

  • Serve as subject matter expert for equipment planning application (4 Tower, Attainia, or similar). Provides application training for end users.

Education

Bachelor degree in design, engineering, healthcare, or supply chain related field (required)

Work Experience

4 years of experience in the field of equipment planning, healthcare planning, or other related experience (required)

Experience using AutoCAD (preferred)

Periods of high stress and fluctuating workloads may occur.

Long-distance or air travel as needed- not to exceed 10% travel.
