Job Title: Embedded Software Engineer

Job Description

The successful candidate will be developing embedded control products by designing and developing firmware while working closely with the system engineering team to communicate and define technical requirements throughout the full lifecycle of product development. Our client is currently in the phase of defining product requirements. From there, the successful candidate will go into development, then testing, and so on.

Hard Skills

  • 5+ years of Full Lifecycle Software Development

  • Support on software development, working with system engineers and other groups to define the requirements

  • Embedded C and/or C++ development experience

  • RTOS or Linux development experience

  • Bachelor's in Engineering or related

Soft Skills

  • Experience developing in an Agile software development environment

  • Experience leading small development projects

  • Ability to work effectively with various engineering functions/disciplines

  • Ability to work within a project team

  • Balancing responsibilities of sustaining and new product development projects

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 12 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a hybrid position requiring some days on-site in Indianapolis, Indiana and some days remote.

Work Environment

Office environment with some WFH flexibility; work on a team of other Embedded SW and Systems Engineers
