Job Title: Electrical Instrumentation Tech

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Instrumentation Tech responsible for diagnostics, programming, calibration, tuning, repairs, and inspections of plant packaging and process instrumentation, plant Distributed Control System, programmable controllers, and HMIs.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct troubleshooting, inspection, and repair of plant packaging and process instrumentation, plant Distributed Control System, programmable controllers, and HMIs.

  • Perform general electrical work such as installation of conduit and wiring.

  • Repair mechanical power transmission, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, pumps, and actuators.

  • Document all work effectively.

  • Respond to scheduled PM efforts through interfacing with the plant’s SAP maintenance system.

  • Ladder logic

  • Electrical maintenance

  • 480V, 24V systems

  • Photo eyes

  • VFDs

  • Sensors

  • Start/Stop switches

  • Electrical circuits

  • Schematics

  • Multimeter proficiency

  • Strong electrical maintenance skills

  • Mechanical skills

  • Hydraulics and pneumatics knowledge

  • Instrumentation troubleshooting

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Minimum of five years of experience with process and packaging equipment and other plant electrical control systems.

  • Experience working with plant computer networks.

  • Experience in programming and designing plant control and interface systems.

  • Proficient in PLC and DCS troubleshooting and repair.

  • Experience in troubleshooting and repair of 240-480VAC systems.

  • Ability to maintain accurate records and data.

  • Working knowledge of NFPA 70E.

  • Good math skills, written and verbal communication skills.

  • Formal technical education preferred.

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office preferred.

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00
