About the team: The Data Insights team within the Data Strategy and Data Sciences Organization, is responsible for harnessing data to provide actionable insights that drive strategic decision-making and improve business performance. The team collaborates closely with stakeholders to understand business needs and develops tailored-fit Business Insights solutions. We are responsible for designing and developing data visualization dashboards, reports and analytical tools, including self-service BI, to enable stakeholders to access and interpret data effectively. Our goal is to empower the organization with timely, accurate and relevant information to support data-driven decision making and to achieve strategic business objectives. What You'll Own: As a Data Warehouse Analyst Specialist, you will Apply an analytical mind to turn data into knowledge. By interpreting data to discover patterns and identify trends, you will create timely, relevant and actionable insights that will be highly impactful. Be responsible for creating and managing highly intricate data models and data-mining large, complex data sets for opportunities across our portfolio. Perform analysis and testing of relational databases and investigate any data load failures or data retrieval issues. Design, develop and implement data mining tools and analysis to shift through large amounts of data stored in a data warehouse or data mart to find relationships and patterns. Assist in identifying and prioritizing business information needs and defining business benefit of data warehousing. Blend data from various sources and combining the useful data into a customized, functioning data set that includes developing process models, data sourcing, loading, transformation, and extraction. Verify the structure, accuracy, or quality of warehouse data. Map data between source systems, data warehouses, and data marts. Provide advice and guidance on data warehousing approaches and solutions and use of data warehousing methodology. Be responsible for supporting architecture and design of data warehouse, data marts and BI reports in support of various data initiatives. Identify data warehousing issues and assists in their resolution. Identify process improvements and provides strategic direction. Conduct Proof of Concepts, Proof of Value, execute strategies and key initiatives at the behest of Stakeholders. Guide/supervise project teams and team mates. Define work outputs for the project team and validate/improve their work output. Conduct analysis and design sessions with business as well as other technology teams.
