Business Analyst

PRIMARY PURPOSE: We are seeking a mid-level (5 yrs.) Business Analyst who has worked with a development team in software development but is comfortable in a non-IT role, as a Product Delivery Analyst on our Product Delivery Team. The Product Delivery Analyst will be responsible for analyzing business data and processes, eliciting, and creating business requirements, and engaging with IT related to expected business outcomes. Strong candidates will be able to speak to being self-directed, a digger/curious, flexible, adaptable with the demonstrated ability to quickly assimilate information and begin formulating requirements.

The ideal candidate will have the following:

· Payroll/financial systems experience, including experience participating in projects which involved enhancements to payroll/financial systems and processes.

· Third party administrator industry experience related to employee paid benefits.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Owns the business analysis role throughout a project or effort, including requirements management and coordination with project managers, stakeholders, and IT.

  • Works with project managers, project requestors, operations, business representatives, IT representatives and clients to obtain a collective understanding of business outcomes to ensure that software requirements and/or process changes will align to the expected outcomes.

  • ​Provides business-related IT expertise during the requirements management process to convey options or recommendations for solutions to non-technical, business stakeholders.

  • Creates project requirements artifacts, including user stories, process diagrams, mockups, and wireframes, which capture the expected business outcomes.

  • Participates in UAT readiness efforts, conduct exploratory UAT testing and/or UAT coordination for completed work items with business partners in preparation for release of enhancements or new functionality.

  • Creates release notes and documentation for completed deliverables and work with trainers, the Product Delivery Team, and stakeholders to ensure a comprehensive understanding of released functionality/capabilities.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATION

Education & Licensing

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred.

Experience

Six (6) years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Experience in multi-line claims management processes and system requirements strongly preferred.
