If this statement resonates with you, don't be so hard on yourself-apply for the job! Bridge Project Engineer Benesch is seeking to hire a licensed Project Engineer to join our Railroad-Bridge team. The ideal candidate will be an experienced rail professional with a solid technical design background. In addition to technical expertise, the perfect candidate will demonstrate strong communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving. As a Project Engineer within our Railroad-Bridge team, you will play a pivotal role in contributing to strategic initiatives to advance our Railroad Division's growth in the region. Benesch's Railroad Division is made up of highly skilled rail professionals, many of whom are former employees of operating railroads. This firsthand experience working on designing and maintaining active rail systems uniquely equips our team to develop innovative solutions to a wide variety of rail projects. Location This position is based at our Cincinnati, OH office, with the potential for a hybrid schedule. The Impact You Will Have Performing basic analysis of project elements Performing load development designing calculations of project elements, and checking work Preparing organized structural calculations Designing and drafting structural elements and details Developing task deliverables in a complete and reviewable manner Performing tasks on schedule and within budget as assigned Working independentlyunder the guidance of a Project Manager What We Are Looking For BS in Civil Engineeringwith a structural emphasis or related discipline PE Licenseor ability to obtain through reciprocity. Minimum of 5 years of structural design experience Experience working with Florida DOT preferred. Excellent communication and client relation skills. Progressive experience with developing plans and specifications utilizing Microstation Strong organization and leadership skills with a track record for adhering to design budgets and schedules. Ability to perform complex analysis and design Ability to assemble a complete design package for assigned elements or projects Ability to work effectively in a team environment #LI-MM1 Position Pay Range $85,000 - $115,000 Our comprehensive benefits package includes paid over-time, exceptional retirement fund contributions, flexible schedules, wellness incentives, and all-around great people to work with. The final agreed-upon compensation is based on numerous factors, including but not limited to individual education, qualifications, prior work experience, and geographic location.
