The College of Medicine, Department of Surgery at the University of Cincinnati is seeking an academic Assistant/Associate Professor of Clinical Surgery as a multi-organ transplant surgeon for a full-time, non-tenure track position. This position joins an active faculty group and busy transplant program dedicated to a clinical practice supportingtransplant patients, oncology patients, patients needing vascular access for dialysis or hepatobiliary surgeries;resident teaching activities ofsurgery residents and fellows;andclinicalresearch. Essential Functions This full-time faculty position will require the individual to have an interest insolid organ abdominal transplantation. The candidate will beexpected toparticipate in the operating room, ward teaching, and the advising and training of fellows, surgical residents, and medical students. Minimum Requirements MD/DO or equivalent. Completion of afive-yearaccredited residency in Surgery. BC/BE in General Surgery alone; andwith specialty training in Transplantation Surgery. Licensure by Ohio Medical Board is required by time of appointment. Interest in education of resident surgeons and medical students. Demonstrate a commitment to an academic career through research, teaching, and supporting the department's academic mission. Additional Qualifications Considered Independence in liver transplantation, living donor liver transplant, NRP and robotic experience.
