About UC Blue Ash The Nursing Department at UC Blue Ash invites applicants for our Medical/Surgical Nursing Adjunct faculty general pool of candidates from which part-time faculty will be selected for the upcoming term (as needed). Job Overview On a part-time limited basis, the Adjunct Faculty member's primary academic functions include teaching, discovering, creating, and reporting knowledge to a diverse set of students. Part-time faculty must be able to teach Medical/Surgical nursing in college lab, simulation, and clinical courses. Adjunct faculty members will be expected to (1) use our course management system (Canvas) and any textbook-specific systems; (2) hold regular office hours to meet with students and reply to student communications in a timely manner; and (3) participate in at least one professional development workshop per year. All classes may be offered day or evening. Essential Functions On a part-time basis, teach assigned undergraduate courses. Using best practices, continually evaluate student coursework. Engage in other activities ancillary to or in support of their responsibilities. Review and respond in a timely manner to all University-related and student communications. Other related duties as assigned. Required Education A BSN or higher from an approved registered nursing education program Required Trainings/Certifications Current, valid licensure as a registered nurse in Ohio Required Experience Have at least two (2) years of experience in the practice of nursing as a registered nurse.
