Job Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and update accounting records and files.

  • Analyze budgets and create expense reports.

  • Examine tax policies and handle tax payments and returns.

  • Perform periodic audits.

  • Check accounting systems to determine efficiency and suggest improvements.

  • Ensure reports are accurate and in compliance with federal and state laws.

  • Process bills for payment and issue checks for accounts payable.

  • Manage the daily financial transactions, including proceedings, payments received, invoices, etc.

    Requirements

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

  • Knowledge of basic bookkeeping and accounting best practices, laws, standards, and state/national regulations.

  • Proven experience as an accounting clerk or a similar role in the accounting field.

  • Familiarity with accounting software.

  • Excellent data entry skills along with a knack for numbers.

  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills.

  • High level of accuracy and efficiency.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
