The Department of Radiology is a top-tier department with world-renowned faculty and staff. A full time academic Interventional Radiology faculty position is available in the Department of Radiology at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine.This position will support the University's mission and commitment to excellence and diversity in our students, faculty, and staff in all our activities. Ideal candidates will be competent to cover all aspects of vascular and interventional radiology. This position will be assigned clinical duties at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center (UCMC), West Chester Hospital (WCH) and other UC Health facilities and interventional radiology (IR) service lines. Hospitals are equipped with state-of-the-art IR suites and support PACS and voice recognition dictation. UCMC is a Level 1 Trauma center with an active organ transplant program. UC Radiology offers two ACGME-accredited IR Independent Residency, 1 position of IR Integrated Residency, in addition to rotating diagnostic radiology residents and the ESIR pathway. Applicants can be considered for associate program directorship and/or medical student directorship. This position is 100% IR as part of our busy and thriving clinical practice performing a wide range of procedures including interventional oncology, prostate artery embolization, cholangioscopy, uterine artery embolization, GI/GU intervention, TIPS, venous access, CT/US guided biopsy, and ablations. There is a dedicated IR Clinic with nursing support as faculty staff an outpatient vein center and clinic. The practice has a robust, formal inpatient consultation service. The IR Section has 7 faculty members and 5 advanced practice providers. Our IR Section has extensive expertise performing nearly 10,000 procedures annually. The IR faculty is diverse and collaborative with wide ranging areas of clinical focus and research. The IR physicians have excellent collaborative relationships with referring services, and they staff several multidisciplinary conferences per week. Essential Functions Duties will include responsibilities for the clinical, research and teaching and supervision activities for our medical students, residents and fellows.
