dsm-firmenich Manager, Material Procurement Planning in Cileungsi, Indonesia

The Manager, Material Procurement Planning is responsible for leading the material procurement planning team in FIRJAVA site, to ensure uninterrupted supply of materials to the site to support manufacturing activities . This function will be reporting to Head of Operational Planning, Taste, Asia who is based in Singapore .

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading and coaching the Material Procurement Planning team to ensure they achieve the organization’s goals and objectives.

  • Final accountability of Supplier punctuality and lead time performance and the procurement planning execution

  • To manage the supplier agreement compliance, issues related to damage and short supply

  • Actively communicate to various stake holders in the event of supply disruption

  • To define the raw materials safety stocks, reorder quantities and frequencies

  • To work proactively to improve the sourcing process leading the integration between different roles involved in it (purchasing, quality, logistics, suppliers, warehouse, procurement)

  • To define and monitor metrics to identify anomalies, recurring issues and trends

  • To track the supplier's performance

  • To apply the outcomes of the Analytics team analysis and ask to them, when necessary, new ones

  • Resolving payment issues to suppliers

  • Ensure purchasing data quality compliance

  • Growing to become a subject matter expert of the materials responsible for and countries that the materials are sourced from, and proactively put in place processes/plans for the smooth supply to the site.

    You bring:

  • Bachelor degree in Business, Engineering or MS degree in Chemistry, Food Science or Supply-Chain Management from an accredited university required

  • Proficient in Supply Chain Planning techniques

  • Proficient in Inventory management

  • Detailed understanding of Materials Replenishment Planning concepts and their role in supply planning

  • Detailed understanding of how a supply plan is generated and managed

  • Min 5 years experience in Material Planning in food and beverage, pharma industry

  • Experience in measuring key performance metrics, and inmotivating and holding people accountable for results

  • Previous change management experienc e/ability to operate as a value-added business partner with other key stakeholders to drive change is also a plus

  • Excellent communication and team building skills

  • Strong organizational and time management skills

  • Skilled at working in a fast paced environment open to constant change in demands

  • Self-directed individual with a Can-Do attitude and the ability to work within a team

  • Professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills

  • Good knowledge of MS Office and SAP ERP systems and analytical skills (MS Excel)

  • Experience in Kinaxis is an added advantage
