Entry Level Maintenance Mechanic

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Maintenance Mechanic responsible for repairing and maintaining building and machinery at our facility. The role involves working with motors and various pneumatic controls, including areas such as hydraulics, refrigeration, plumbing, and boilers. Safety is a top priority, and adherence to standards such as lockout tag out, personal safety standards, OSHA regulations, and hot work permits is essential. You will also be involved in the installation of new equipment.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain building and machinery at the facility

• Work with motors and other pneumatic controls

• Handle hydraulics, refrigeration, plumbing, and boilers

• Ensure adherence to safety standards, including lockout tag out, personal safety standards, OSHA regulations, and hot work permits

• Install new equipment

Essential Skills

• 1+ years of experience in maintenance

• Experience with pumps and motors

• Proficiency in troubleshooting and mechanical maintenance

• Skilled in using hand and power tools

• Knowledge of pump controls, hydraulics, pneumatics, and welding

• Ability to read blueprints

• Experience in repair and preventive maintenance

Work Environment

The position operates on the first shift from 6:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with most Saturdays currently required. You will be part of a maintenance team consisting of 10 people.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
